Civil works in Sydney: car parks, asphalt, and driveways

Demolition and excavation get the site open. Civil work is what you drive on. Car park resurfacing, hot mix asphalt, line marking, stormwater, and concrete driveways. A lot of our civil Sydney jobs start once the house is down and the levels are in.

Car parks fail in layers. The surface breaks, then the base moves, then water sits in the ruts. Resurfacing only works if the base and the drainage are still sound. If they are not, we say so before anyone orders asphalt. Hot mix is the wearing course. It is not a shortcut around a failed pavement.

Line marking comes last. Bays, arrows, and disabled spaces. Doing it on a dirty or uneven surface wastes the paint. Stormwater belongs in the same conversation. Pits and pipes that are blocked or in the wrong place will put water back on the new pavement.

Concrete driveways are a different pour. After a knock-down the old driveway is often gone with the house. A new one has to match the street, the garage, and the fall so water leaves the block. Tight inner-city access changes the truck and the pour as much as the square metres do.
