People ask about the gear before they ask about the house. Fair enough. The machine has to fit the driveway, and the trucks have to fit the street. That is usually the first limit on a Sydney job.
A compact excavator handles most inner-city knock-downs and strip-outs. It can work in a terrace driveway without taking out the neighbour's fence. On a wider suburban block we can bring a larger machine and finish faster. Pool holes and slab removal sit on the same kit.
Trucks matter as much as the excavator. Spoil and demolition waste have to leave the street without blocking it all day. We look at parking, turning, and how many loads the job will take before we quote. A tight Bondi or Marrickville street is a different plan to an open Central Coast block.
Jackhammers, a crane, and hand tools come out when the machine cannot reach. Concrete stairs, a rear addition off a laneway, or a site with overhead wires often need that mix. The point is not to bring the biggest excavator. It is to bring the one that can work without making a mess of the street.
