Concrete driveway Sydney jobs are often the last pour after a house comes down. The old slab went with the building. The new one has to match the street, the garage, and the fall so water leaves the block. Tight access changes the truck as much as the square metres do.
A driveway is not just a rectangle of concrete. It has to hit the gutter, the garage slab or the new house levels, and shed water away from the building. After a knock-down those three points have usually moved. We look at the street, the crossover, and the fall before we quote. A steep Eastern Suburbs block is a different pour to a flat Central Coast street.
Replacements happen when the old slab has cracked, stepped, or dropped at the gutter. Sometimes the base has washed out. Sometimes tree roots have lifted it. We will not pour over a failed base and call it a new driveway. The old concrete comes out, the levels are set, then the pour. If excavation is still needed to get those levels, the same crew can do that.
Inner-city driveways are often tight. A terrace in the Inner West or a Bondi street with nowhere for a truck to sit changes the pour. See civil Sydney if the job also needs asphalt or stormwater on the same run.
